HOW I SAVE HOURS CREATING CONTENT FOR SOCIAL MEDIA AS AN ENTREPRENEUR
How do I save hours creating content within my business?
Here are three easy steps…
Just kidding! It’s not about a quick fix—it’s all in the foundation: rooting deep into your Strategy, Values, and Brand Talking Pillars. Once this foundation is strong, you can expand from there with ease and clarity.
Establishing a solid Content and Marketing Strategy before diving into creation is crucial for the success of any business’s online presence. Without a clear strategy, your content may lack direction, fail to resonate with your target audience, and ultimately fall short of your goals.
The Three Elements That Build a Strong Foundation
To cultivate ease in content creation, you need:
- A clear Marketing and Content Strategy
- Defined Brand Talking Pillars
- The support of AI tools like ChatGPT
Here’s how each of these pieces comes together:
1. Start with a Marketing + Content Strategy
Set Clear Goals
Begin by clearly defining what you want your content to achieve—whether that’s boosting brand awareness, driving website traffic, generating leads, or increasing sales.
Be specific. Identify the primary goal behind each piece of content so it’s created with intention.
Identify Your Target Audience
Conduct market research to deeply understand your audience: demographics like age, gender, income, interests, and pain points.
Create detailed buyer personas to represent each audience segment. (Pro tip: I use ChatGPT to create mine—and my clients’—in minutes! Grab my free prompts here: ChatGPT Marketing Prompts for Entrepreneurs)
Determine Your Core Messaging Themes
Make sure your key messaging aligns with your brand values and mission. Keep it consistent and relevant.
Address the challenges your audience faces, and position your brand as a supportive solution.
Also stay timely—align your content with industry trends, current events, or seasonal shifts to stay top-of-mind.
2. Develop Your Brand Talking Pillars
Your Brand Talking Pillars are the core themes, values, and messages that anchor all your content. They give your strategy structure, consistency, and clarity.
Here’s how to create them:
- Brand Discovery
Explore your brand’s history, values, and mission. Analyze competitors and your unique positioning to see what sets you apart. - Identify Core Themes
Brainstorm topics that reflect your values and resonate with your audience’s interests, struggles, and aspirations. - Define the Pillars
Choose 3–5 key pillars that represent your brand’s expertise. These become the framework for all your content. - Create Pillar Messaging Guidelines
Write down tone, style, key points, and common questions for each pillar.
(I keep a Google Doc for each one, adding struggles I see clients face and turning them into content later.) - Integrate Them Into Your Content Plan
Align each piece of content with at least one pillar. Before posting, ask yourself: What goal am I infusing into this content? - Review and Refine Regularly
As your brand evolves, your pillars should too. Keep refining them to stay relevant and aligned with your audience’s needs.
3. Incorporate ChatGPT for Content Creation
Once your foundation is in place, AI becomes a powerful time-saving tool—not to replace your creativity, but to support it.
Here’s how I use ChatGPT:
Idea Generation
ChatGPT quickly generates fresh content ideas based on prompts or themes.
Just give it a topic and let it spark unique blog posts, social campaigns, or video ideas that align with your niche.
Prompt Example:
“List 12 blog post ideas for [insert niche or topic].”
Captions and Social Media Copy
Writing catchy, on-brand captions can take hours. ChatGPT speeds this up by giving you options to refine in your voice.
Important: Keep your authentic tone. Use AI for structure and ideas—not to sound like a generic robot.
Prompt Example:
“Write 5 Instagram captions based on this blog post: [paste blog link or outline].”

Drafting Blog Posts and Articles
Long-form content takes the most time. ChatGPT can help build an initial draft based on your outline or bullet points, which you can then personalize.
It saves hours on research and structuring, while you add your lived experience, storytelling, and voice to bring it to life.
