HOW DO YOU FIND THE BEST KEYWORDS FOR YOUR NICHE
There are a few tricks I use for my clients, and will share them with you here.
The first thing I do is the obvious, typing relative keywords into the Pinterst search and noting what comes up in the dropdown bar that may also be of great use. The other tip within the Pinterst platform is to pretend you are creating an add and look at what Pinterst suggest for your keywords. You do not have to actually complete the ad simply fill out some of the required content to capture the suggestions.
The second thing I do is visit Google Keywords within my google account. I look at the Stats! You want to create a blend of niche keywords that directly apply to you, and keywords with medium ranking, (less than 500 hits a month) with a few keywords that rank higher within the Google machine.
There is a reason I also have a look at the Google keywords. Google prioritizes Pinterst & YouTube over websites, so as you build a high volume of traffic to your Pinterst account through your aligned keywords, your pins will begin to show up on the google search engine. Therefore not only are you engaging with Pinterst you are also spreading your web into the Google Search engine.
to stay organized, keep your keywords on a spreadsheet, I would suggest you have 12–20 keywords per topic or board you are creating. That way you can quickly copy and paste. Within the spreadsheet I also keep the descriptions and links I am leading folks with my pins.
Another useful strategy is to engage with your audience by repining and commenting on relevant content, as this can help you build a community around your brand. You can follow accounts who are in your field or industry with content you and your clients align with. Repining popular pins within your boards will draw more attention to your boards and Pinterest account, this can result in more follows and engagement within your content.
OPTIMIZE YOUR STRATEGY
Finally, measuring the performance of your pins and adjusting your strategy accordingly can help you optimize your Pinterest marketing efforts and achieve better results over time. Track each month the performance of the keywords so you can play with the strategy and see what you can adjust.
